The authorities dealing with security in Schleswig-Holstein are handling the repeated drone flyovers over an industrial zone in Brunsbüttel with great caution, as announced by Interior Minister Sabine Sütterlin-Waack. She stated, "For quite some time, federal and state security agencies have issued warnings about spycraft and sabotage. This remains a concern." The CDU politician further added, "Naturally, we're treating every potential espionage or sabotage lead in Schleswig-Holstein with extreme vigilance."

Media reports suggest that these drone flyovers began over the ChemCoast Park in Brunsbüttel around the first week of August. "Spiegel" indicated that around four drones have been spotted hovering above the area on various nights, starting August 8.

As a result of these suspicious activities, the state prosecutor's office in Flensburg, which deals with state security issues, launched an investigation. The office refused to disclose the drones' origins or intended targets. VARIOUS SOURCES named Russia as a possible perpetrator.

Furthermore, the Interior Minister of Schleswig-Holstein remarked, "We have procured drone defense equipment and are in the process of acquiring more. We're also collaborating exceptionally well with other federal states and the federal government, receiving technical support from both ends."

Given the potential espionage or sabotage concerns, it's crucial to be extra careful when analyzing any data obtained from the industrial zone after the drone flyovers. In light of the ongoing investigation and the potential involvement of foreign entities, heightened caution should be exercised in sharing any information related to the incident.
