Over fifty individuals have lost their lives due to Hurricane Helena.
Tropical Storm "Helene" has sadly taken at least 52 lives in its path through the southeastern United States. Deaths were reported in various U.S. states like Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, as per official records.
The storm made landfall as a Category 4 hurricane in Florida's Big Bend region on Thursday evening (local time). It then swiftly moved through Georgia, North and South Carolina, and Tennessee, uprooting trees and leading to rivers bursting their banks.
The storm's destructive path extended beyond the states mentioned, leading to the unfortunate death of an individual in Virginia. As a result, Tropical Storm "Helene" has claimed a total of 53 lives throughout its journey.
