Since 1997, the infamous "Torture Ship" has set sail from Friedrichhafen, attracting kink enthusiasts. Over 400 leather and latex aficionados convened at the Bodensee this year, accompanied by multiple spectators. The weather wasn't entirely on our side.
Dressed in latex face masks and leather hotpants, numerous fetish enthusiasts reveled once again on an "Erotic Ship" at the Bodensee. A total of 450 tickets for the "Torture-Ship" were sold. As Thomas Siegmund, the organizer, stated, "The ship is sold out." The party was expected to last till the wee hours on the Bodensee across two floors.
In Friedrichhafen harbor, the leather and latex crowd was met by curious onlookers - there were dozens of people on the pier where the "Erotic Ship" always docks and then sets sail afterward after visiting Konstanz. The mood wasn't dampened by the rainy weather.
One passenger during boarding expressed, "I like to flaunt what I've got." He added, "For fetish enthusiasts, it's a necessity to attend here." Though some felt uncomfortable with being photographed by the photographers. "For me, it's an extra appeal to strut around," he continued.
The weather wasn't particularly vivacious, but the ship still stood out, mentioned a 47-year-old donning a tight latex outfit, complete with straps and mask. His outfit was selected according to the slogan, "Sex sells, I like to flaunt what I've got." Sexuality is an integral part of it all.
The oldest passenger on the ship was an 84-year-old who sailed in 2022, as per the organizer. Only adult ticket-holders are allowed on the MS Baden. Darkrooms for onboard sex activities are a thing of the past, clarified Siegmund. The event has evolved into this form. The "Torture Ship" first set sail in 1997.
