Traffic - One dead and one seriously injured in accident in southern Hesse
A 64-year-old woman died at the scene on Bundesstraße 44 in Südstadt after her car collided with an oncoming vehicle. The 29-year-old driver of the other car was seriously injured and had to be taken to the hospital. The cause of the accident near Riedstadt was initially unclear.
According to police reports, the 64-year-old woman succumbed to her severe injuries at the accident site. During the accident investigation, the intersection had to be closed for several hours. The Public Prosecutor's Office in Darmstadt called in an expert to determine the cause of the accident. Witnesses were asked to contact the police station in Groß-Gerau.
