Criminality - Once again, ATMs damaged - 15th case this year

Unknown individuals exploded two ATMs in a bank in the Swabian town of Vöhringen, Bavaria, near the border with Baden-Württemberg, according to the Bavarian Criminal Police (LKA). This is the 15th such incident this year, compared to ten in the same period last year.

It is still unclear whether the perpetrators managed to obtain money during the latest attack, a spokesperson for the LKA said. After the incident, the suspects fled in a dark vehicle towards Autobahn 7. The police are now looking for witnesses or anyone who may have observed the perpetrators or their getaway vehicle. Experts are scheduled to examine the crime scene today.

The ATMs explosions in Vöhringen have raised concerns among the local Swabians, who are known for their cautious nature. This act of criminality falls under the jurisdiction of the LKA, the Bavarian Criminal Police, due to the incident happening in District Neu-Ulm, Bavaria. The Swabian region, including Vöhringen, has seen an increase in such incidents, with 15 ATM explosions this year, surpassing the 10 incidents from the previous year.
