Nuremberg cannot go beyond a draw against TSV 1860

Second division team 1860 Munchen denied a win against third division football team in the test match. This was also due to a missed penalty kick by the club's player.

  1. FC Nürnberg failed to go past a 1:1 (0:1) in a test match against Third League side TSV 1860 München. Lion-newcomer Patrick Hobsch put Munich in the lead early (7th minute), striker Lukas Schleimer equalized for the Second League team in front of 3,500 spectators at the sold-out Speck-Sportpark in Roth. For the Clubbers, the loaned attacking talent Stefanos Tzimas missed a penalty kick next to the goal (35th minute).

"We needed a little while to get going and find our structure. Then it was the football I expect from us," said FCN coach Miroslav Klose in a club statement. "We were hard to grasp for the opponent, had a lot of movement in our play and created numerous chances. That was what we wanted to see."

The Klose team begins the Second League season on August 3 against Karlsruher SC. The World Cup winner of 2014 celebrates his debut at home on August 10 against FC Schalke 04. Both games are scheduled to kick off at 1:00 PM.

The trial game is taken on July 26 against Italian record champions Juventus Turin with a scrimmage.
