Norwegian passenger boarding plane twice without boarding pass
A man from Norway managed to board an airplane at Munich Airport twice without a valid ticket. Once, he was caught before the flight to Hamburg took off, and the other time, he made it to Sweden before being caught, as reported by the Bavarian Police North on Tuesday. No danger was posed, according to the reports. Initially, the "Bild" newspaper reported this.
The 39-year-old passed through security on August 4th and 5th "regularly and without incident," according to Munich Airport. How he managed to board without a boarding pass or ticket is currently under investigation.
The first time, the man was caught in Munich because there were no available seats on the fully booked flight to Hamburg, according to police. A day later, he managed to board a flight to Sweden on a not fully booked flight, but he was noticed by airport staff because he immediately wanted to return to Munich.
No danger was posed by the man, according to current knowledge. He is now being investigated for trespassing and fare evasion.
It's interesting to note that he was not detected during his regular and incident-free passes through security on August 4th and 5th. Despite being caught in Munich due to unavailable seats on the fully booked flight to Hamburg, he managed to evade detection again on his way to Sweden.
