Nikki Glaser experienced a remarkable career week, and it's not done yet.

The witty remarks she made regarding the former NFL player led to her gaining thousands of new admirers on Instagram and a hilarious stint on "The Pat McAfee Show" on ESPN.

Despite the popularity surge, Glaser remains composed and experienced, having been in the comedy industry long enough to understand the highs and lows.

During a recent conversation with CNN, she shared her feelings about her sudden fame, saying "I've always felt like I'm getting what I deserve. I'm not someone who's been waiting for this my whole life. Obviously, it's been a goal to be loved on this scale, but it's also scary because this level of enthusiasm for someone can last for a moment and then vanish just as quickly."

Although she was confident that the "Greatest Roast of All Time" featuring Brady would be a hit, she was surprised by the attention she received.

"I knew it was a home run and I knew the event would be special since it was live. I'd hoped it would be number one on Netflix and there would be viral moments, but I didn't think I'd be at the center of all that discussion," she said.

Leading up to the roast, Glaser practiced her Brady jokes extensively, performing them in anywhere from one to four sets each night in Los Angeles.

While serving as the host of those performances, she worked with a team of writers, rehearsing during the day and writing in between shows, treating it like it was a major awards show.

Glaser's serious approach extended to her new special, "Someday You'll Die," which tackles topics such as parenting, body image, and mortality, while still providing ample laughter for viewers.

"It's a look at my life right now as my friends are having kids and starting families, getting married. I don't have any of that. It explores how I suffer from depression despite my otherwise great life, my fear of death, and my longing for it from time to time, all wrapped up in some tight comedy jokes."

Glaser described her latest project as "honest, raw, and really tight comedy," a result of over two years of work.

"Someday You'll Die" is slated to premiere on May 11th on Max, which, like CNN, is part of Warner Bros. Discovery.
