New search for body of victim abducted 55 years ago

**In England, two brothers led a 55-year-old woman in 1969 whom they mistakenly believed to be the wife of media mogul Murdoch. They were arrested, but the victim's body remains missing to this day. A new search for the woman's body has begun in Britain, the police in London announced. A farmland north of London will be searched again, the police stated. It concerns the abduction of Muriel McKay in 1969, whose body has not been found to this day.

A flight restriction zone will be set up over the search area, the police announced. This is intended to "protect the course of the search and the dignity of the deceased, if mortal remains are found."

The 55-year-old McKay was mistakenly abducted in 1969 by the convicted men Nizamodeen and Arthur Hosein, believing her to be Murdoch's second wife Anna. The brothers followed Murdoch's Rolls-Royce without knowing that he had lent the car to his representative Alick McKay, Muriel's husband. She was sitting in the car at the time and was abducted.

The brothers, believing they had Murdoch's wife in their possession, demanded a ransom of one million pounds, which is equivalent to around 14 million pounds (about 17 million Euros) today. They were arrested and sentenced to murder and kidnapping in 1970. They denied having killed their victim. Arthur Hosein died in prison in 2009, his brother spent 20 years in prison and was then deported to Trinidad. In December of last year, Hosein's family received a sworn statement from Nizamodeen Hosein in the newspaper "The Times" that McKay's body was buried on a farm in Hertfordshire, north of London.

Furthermore, he declared that Muriel McKay had collapsed and died when she saw a report about her abduction on television. The area is now to be searched again according to police reports. McKay's grandson Mark Dryer told the BBC that the focus of the search should be on a section behind a barn that has not been searched before.**
