Telenovela - New faces in 'Storm of Love'

In the ARD-Telenovela "Storm of Love," new faces are joining. Actress Katharina Scheuba ("The Dark Girl") is expected to take on the role of Maxi Neubach in the series at the end of August. The ARD and production company Bavaria Fiction announced this in Munich on Monday.

Scheuba, born in 1993, commented on her role: "Maxi is my first continuous TV role, where I am a doctor in real life, almost - I'm still missing the doctorate," Scheuba said. "But that's a great playground and has drawn me to the character from the start."

"Finally, a nice guy"

Michael Baral ("Constellation") is also a new addition to the series and, according to the current plan, will be there from September. The actor, born in 1981, will slip into the role of Luis Sommer. This ambitious cook is looking for suitable rental objects in Bad Tölz when chance brings him to the fictional Hotel Fürstenhof.

"Finally, a nice guy," Baral summed up. He has mostly portrayed "complicated, sometimes driven characters," he said, "but I have rarely been able to play such a down-to-earth, honest man."

"Storm of Love" airs Monday through Friday at 3:10 p.m. on the First.
