The Senate of the University of Magdeburg-Stendal has elected Nora Küster-Dammaschke as the new Chancellor. She will take over as the new superior of the non-scientific staff of the University from August, the University announced. There were 17 applications for the position. The term is limited to eight years. Küster-Dammaschke has reportedly been working in scientific institutions for 13 years, seven of which in leading positions. She has been active at the Europa-Universität Viadrina and Hochschule Anhalt, among others.

The Chancellor-elect, Nora Küster-Dammaschke, hails from the region of Saxony-Anhalt, known for its higher education institutions. To ensure data privacy, the University of Magdeburg-Stendal will need to adhere to strict guidelines when handling her Personal data during her tenure as a Senate member.
