A well-kept secret - Netflix reveals: What viewers really watched this year
It's usually a well-kept secret: how much content is really watched on which streaming services? At the end of the year, Netflix is now opening up its secret treasure trove of data. And reveals which series and films really did well on the service - and which flopped.
Netflix really doesn't let itself down: the recently published list includes over 18,000 titles. While the service usually ranks its series and films according to how many people have started them, this time the figures are much tougher: The content is ranked according to how many hours it was actually watched between January and June 2023. Both films and individual series seasons are counted. The range is correspondingly huge. While the most recent entries on the list only clocked up 100,000 hours, the first-placed entry alone ran for over 800 million hours on our screens. In the photo gallery, you can see what Netflix fans liked to watch the most.
