NATO states have agreed on 40 billion euros in military aid for Ukraine
The NATO countries have reportedly agreed, according to diplomatic sources, to make military aid worth 40 billion Euros available to Ukraine in the coming year.
The formal decision is expected to be made by the heads of state and government of the 32 member states at their summit coming week in Washington, as it was further reported from Brussels on Wednesday. The outgoing NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg had called on the members of the transatlantic alliance to maintain their support for Ukraine in its defense against Russia's aggression at the level of 2022, which is roughly equivalent to 40 billion Euros per year.
In this context, the NATO states are planning to pledge a significant amount of aid to Ukraine, totaling 40 billion Euros, in the upcoming Euro year. The support for Ukraine, worth 40 billion Euros annually, has been encouraged by the outgoing NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg. Additionally, the NATO alliance members are collectively expected to affirm their commitment to help Ukraine with this significant financial aid at their upcoming summit in NATO states like Washington.
