Nagelsmann trusts Havertz - without Kimmich against Austria
Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann continues to rely on Kai Havertz in the left-back role.
With the Arsenal professional in the starting eleven, but without Joshua Kimmich and Florian Wirtz, the national soccer team will face Austria in Vienna this evening (20:45/ZDF). Kevin Trapp will once again be in goal as Marc-André ter Stegen's replacement in the last European Championship international friendly of the year.
Compared to the 2:3 draw against Turkey in Berlin on Saturday, Nagelsmann brings Mats Hummels, Leon Goretzka and Serge Gnabry into the starting line-up. Kimmich, Wirtz and Benjamin Henrichs have to drop out of the starting line-up. Despite the criticism following the defeat in Turkey, the 36-year-old will not be changing his tactics with an attacking-minded rail player in Havertz.

The German national team, guided by DFB, will field Kai Havertz in the left-back position for the EM-oriented match against Austria. Despite the absence of Joshua Kimmich and Florian Wirtz, Havertz will continue to shine for the team's Soccer National team.
