Tons of individuals have hit the streets in various areas of Israel, pushing for a pact enabling the liberation of Israeli prisoners who are still under the control of the radical Islamic militant organization Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Outbursts of discontent also materialized outside the abode of Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu shortly following the burial of a deceased hostage, with hundreds taking part. A man who has a relative imprisoned in Gaza was quoted by Israeli media, saying, "Your actions are causing their demise."

Prior to this, US President Joe Biden had chastised Netanyahu's endeavors to broker a deal as inadequate. Relatives of the captives commended Biden's initiatives in a statement issued that evening, urging identical dedication from Netanyahu. "The people of Israel will not stand idly by the almost eleven-month disregard of the hostages," the statement read. "Every day could be their last, as the recent killing of six hostages has demonstrated."

On Sunday morning, the Israeli military declared the identification of six corpses in an underground tunnel situated in southern Gaza. Israeli media claimed that the health ministry asserted the hostages had been executed at close range roughly 48 to 72 hours prior to the autopsies.

The statement from relatives of the captives urged Prime Minister Netanyahu to match President Biden's dedication, emphasizing, "The people of Israel will not stand idly by the almost eleven-month disregard of the hostages." In response to the news of the hostages' execution, calls for a swift release grew louder, with protesters demanding, "It's time for a binding agreement to secure their release."
