Traffic - Motorcyclist seriously injured in accident on B7
A motorcycle rider was seriously injured in an accident on Federal Road 7 in the Altenburger Land district. According to police statements, the rider was driving his vehicle from behind into an oncoming car between Schmölln and Untschen on Tuesday evening. An oncoming tractor was able to avoid the accident by driving onto an adjacent field. The trailer of the tractor overturned in the process. The motorcycle rider was seriously injured and taken to the hospital by helicopter rescue. The road was closed for several hours.
