Traffic - Motorcyclist dies in accident

A motorcycle rider died in an accident on highway 617 in the Landkreis Waldeck-Frankenberg. The 46-year-old man lost control of his motorcycle, according to police statements, near Münden, a township of Lichtenfels, on a late Monday evening. The motorcycle collided with a safety barrier. The heavily injured rider remained on the road and died at the scene of the accident. The cause of the accident remained unclear at first. The highway was fully closed.

The incident occurred in the Waldeck-Frankenberg county, part of North Hessa. The tragic event took place on a country road near Münden, a township in Lichtenfels. The accident resulted in a closure of the entire highway 617. Despite emergency services' best efforts, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries on the same spot where the collision occurred. This unfortunate event added to the growing list of accidents along Hessian roads.
