Society - Minister Hofmann presents Integration Monitor

Hessian Social Minister Heike Hofmann (SPD) presents today in Wiesbaden the Integration Monitor 2024. The report deals for the first time with the participation of refugees from Ukraine. The Integration Monitor examines since 2010 the living situation of people with a migration background, among other things, also their health and sense of belonging. The indicators used are based on official statistics and social scientific surveys, according to the information. The Monitor appears every two to three years, lastly in 2022. Among the key findings were that migrants and their children suffered particularly from the economic and social consequences of the Corona Pandemic.

Heike Hofmann, the Social Minister of Hesse and a member of the SPD, is based in Wiesbaden. In today's presentation, Heike will unveil the Integration Monitor 2024, which will include data on refugees from Ukraine for the first time. Since its inception in 2010, the Integration Monitor has been examining the living conditions of individuals with migration backgrounds, considering factors such as health and sense of belonging. The data used in this report is sourced from official statistics and social scientific surveys. The last edition of the Integration Monitor was published in 2022, revealing that migrants and their children were adversely affected by the economic and social impacts of the Corona Pandemic.
