Transfermarkt - Million-sum for Bavaria: Zirkzee before Manchester-transfer
The Dutch EM striker Joshua Zirkzee of Netherlands is on the verge of a transfer to Manchester United. In case of a contract signing, his former club Bayern Munich would still earn approximately 20 million Euros from this transfer.
Bayern sold the 23-year-old forward to FC Bologna two years ago for around eight million Euros and secured a 50-percent stake in his further sale. Now, Manchester United intends to pay an amount for Zirkzee's release clause which is slightly above the 40 million Euro clause in his contract.
According to media reports, the striker will undergo a medical check in England on this Friday. Subsequently, he is expected to sign a five-year contract valid until 2029. Manchester United's Dutch manager Erik ten Hag is also reportedly interested in bringing the defender Matthijs de Ligt from FC Bayern to the Premier League.
