Mike Pence thanks Biden - and Trump supporters turn

For four years, Mike Pence was a loyal deputy to Donald Trump in the White House. But on January 6, 2021, there was a rift between the two men. The anger of radical Trump supporters towards Pence is still immense. Particularly when he praised his political opponent.

Former US Vice President Mike Pence stirred up fiery supporters of Donald Trump on the platform X with a harmless post. His supposed offense? Pence, who served as Trump's deputy from 2017 to 2021 in the White House, thanked Joe Biden. "The President made the right decision for our country, and I thank him for putting the interests of our nation above his own", Pence wrote in a short post about Biden's withdrawal from the campaign.

Even a rare call for calm and unity from the ultraconservative politician could not be resisted: "After the attack on President Trump and Biden's decision to end his campaign, it's now time for leading politicians from both parties to radiate calm and send a message of strength and determination to America's friends and enemies alike", Pence said.

"Did a Democrat write this?"

These words of reconciliation caused great anger among Trump supporters. "Nobody cares what you think, Mike", writes a user in comments on the post. "Did a Democrat write this?", asks another sarcastically. "That's why we consider you a traitor. Piss off", angrily responds a third. "We're only in this shit because of you, so keep quiet", grumbles a fourth user, who apparently wishes that Pence had misused his power after Trump's defeat in the 2020 election to keep the billionaire in office.

The ultraconservative Pence was a loyal deputy to Trump in the White House for four years. The storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021, by radical Trump supporters led to a rift between the two men. Pence had refused Trump's request, as acting Vice President, to block Biden's election victory in Congress. Some of the Trump supporters who stormed the Capitol wanted to lynch Pence. Pence has criticized Trump sharply ever since and declares that the 78-year-old should not be allowed to be President again.

In the heated world of Politics, Mike Pence's praise for Joe Biden during the United States Presidency Election 2024 campaign caused a stir among Donald Trump's loyal supporters. Despite serving as Trump's deputy for four years, Pence's gratitude towards Biden sparked intense criticism, with some accusing him of betrayal. This rift between the two Republicans, along with Pence's calls for unity, has further fueled speculations about the United States Presidency Election 2024.
