Weather - Midsummer in Lower Saxony - thunderstorms on Wednesday
The German Weather Service (DWD) has predicted summer weather for Lower Saxony and Bremen. It will be overcast in the morning, but temperatures of 29 degrees in Bremen and up to 32 degrees in Hannover are expected later in the day, according to the DWD. Temperatures reached up to 24 degrees on the islands.
In the night to Wednesday, there could be strong showers and thunderstorms, especially west of the Weser, and thunderstorms are not ruled out. The temperatures are expected to drop to 17 degrees at night. Strong thunderstorms are also expected on Wednesday, with temperatures ranging from 22 degrees on the islands to 28 degrees in Braunschweig.
Despite the predicted summer weather, a Midsummer night could bring robust thunderstorms in certain areas of Lower Saxony and Bremen, as warned by DWD. The city of Bremen might experience a significant drop in temperatures, down to 17 degrees, following the thunderstorm. Residents of Hanover, however, may still enjoy temperatures of 28 degrees, even amidst the potential thunderstorms in Lower Saxony and Bremen, as per DWD's forecast for Wednesday.
