Melinda Gates expresses endorsement for chosen presidential candidates.

In the forthcoming presidential election, both parties are gearing up for battle. Money is flowing freely from supporters backing their respective candidates. A businessman shelled out approximately 50 million dollars to back Trump, while US philanthropist Melinda Gates has been digging deep for Joe Biden.

Melinda French Gates, ex-wife of Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, has endorsed President Joe Biden for the upcoming US presidential election. She penned down her thoughts on an X post, stating, "This year's election carries such significant implications for women and families, that I can't afford to stay quiet this time." She went on to express, "I will vote for President Biden."

At the end of May, Melinda French Gates announced a billion-dollar (approximately 933 million Euros) commitment to advocacy for women in the US. In early June, she stepped down as co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. As per her statements, Bill Gates has provided an astonishing 12.5 billion dollars (around 11.6 billion Euros) for her to continue her work in supporting women and families. Through her organization Pivotal, French Gates backs organizations such as the Center for Reproductive Rights, an advocacy group that advocates for access to birth control and the right to abortion.

Abortion rights will be a focal point of the campaign. The Democrats are hoping to gain support at the polls due to discontent over the Republicans' restrictive policies on abortion.

Biden can, at least in part, thank former New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg for his support, as Bloomberg forked over 19 million dollars to Biden's campaign, according to the "Washington Post."

Trump, on the other hand, has gained support from investors Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss. The twins confirmed that each of them donated a million dollars to Trump's right-wing populist campaign. According to a "New York Times" report, businessman Timothy Mellon donated a staggering 50 million dollars to an organization supporting Trump's camp.
