Melania Trump doesn't comment on the assassination either
**In the campaign, Melania Trump remains largely out of sight, but now she has released a longer statement on X regarding the attack on her husband. The slain protector was a "Monster" who tried to extinguish "Donald's passion, his laughter, his inventiveness, his love for music and his enthusiasm," explained the former First Lady of the USA on X. She also paid tribute to him as a "generous and caring man," with whom she had spent the best and worst times.
When she saw that a bullet had hit her husband, she realized that her life and that of her son Barron were "standing on the brink of a devastating change." Melania Trump thanked her husband's bodyguards and law enforcement agencies, and expressed her condolences to the families of the victims. "Let us not forget that different opinions, politics, and political games are subordinate to love," she wrote. "The evening is here again. Let us stand together again. Now."
Trump's children also paid tribute to their father and thanked the security personnel. "He will never stop fighting for the salvation of America," wrote Donald Trump Jr. on X and added a photo of his father with a bloodied face raising his fist. Eric Trump shared the same photo on Instagram with a similar message in capital letters.
Ivanka Trump, who had previously announced that she would not participate in her father's presidential campaign this year, thanked the bodyguards on Instagram and wrote: "I continue to pray for our country," and further: "I love you, Dad, today and always." Tiffany Trump thanked God that her father was still alive. "Political violence is never the answer," quoted the "Washington Post" her. "As you have seen today, my father is a fighter, and he will continue to fight for you and the USA."**
Melania Trump's statement about the attack on her husband in the campaign highlighted Donald Trump's passion for music and love for inventiveness, which the slain protector attempted to extinguish. Donald Trump Jr., following in his father's footsteps, expressed his belief in his father's continued fight for the salvation of America, in spite of the attack. Ivanka Trump, who initially chose not to participate in her father's presidential campaign, showed her support for him by thanking the bodyguards and expressing prayers for the country.
