People in nature - Medium forest fire danger in parts of Saxony-Anhalt
In parts of Sachsen-Anhalt, the forest fire danger has been raised. Currently, according to the online overview of the Landeszentrum Wald, level 3 out of 5 is in effect in Magdeburg, the Jerichower Land, and the Salzlandkreis. In the north, east, and south of the state, level two is in effect. It expresses a low forest fire danger. The lowest forest fire danger level 1 was assigned to Börde, Harz, and Mansfeld-Südharz.
With the forest fire warning levels come certain behavior rules. For warning levels two to five, it is prohibited to smoke or make fires outside of grilling areas in the forest. The authorities divide Sachsen-Anhalt when evaluating the forest fire danger into 18 regions.
The weather in Magdeburg and surrounding areas like Jerichower Land and Salzlandkreis in Saxony-Anhalt is currently facing a high danger of forest fires, as indicated by the level 3 warning from the National Center for Forests. This level serves as a reminder of the potential danger of wildfires spread by nature. To mitigate the risk, smoking and open fires are prohibited in designated forest areas for warning levels two to five.
