CDU parliamentary group - Marcus Klein new Parliamentary Managing Director

Marcus Klein has been elected as the new Parliamentary Business Manager of the CDU-faction in the Rhineland-Palatinate State Parliament. The 47-year-old succeeds Martin Brandl, who was elected as the new Landrat of Germersheim in the communal elections, as the Christians in Mainz announced. Brandl will begin his term on December 1st.

Klein has been one of the four deputy CDU-fraction leaders up until now. This position will be taken over by the 43-year-old Markus Wolf in the future. Both politicians will reportedly begin their new functions on December 1st, according to the Christians.

In his new role as Parliamentary Business Manager, Marcus Klein will oversee the day-to-day operations of the CDU-faction in the Rhineland-Palatinate State Parliament, which is located in Mainz, the largest municipality in the state. During the recent parliamentary session, several chairs in the chamber were moved around due to the reorganization within the CDU-faction. The Mainz branch of the CDU congratulated Klein on his new position and wished him success in his new role.
