Through a warning shot, the Police were able to stop a 40-year-old man, who was armed with a knife, in the Innenstadt of Velbert. The woman, initially identified as the target due to relationship disputes, had informed the police that she had been insulted and threatened by the man upon their arrival, with a knife in hand.
