Man goes to a prostitute and leaves son in a hot car

In NRW, a passerby discovers a boy left in a car during a heatwave. He alerts the police. The three-year-old is taken to the hospital. The father appears over an hour later and lies about his whereabouts.

A 33-year-old father left his three-year-old son in his hot car while visiting a prostitute. Police found the boy, sweating profusely in his car seat on the backseat of the parked car, after a passerby alerted them on Monday evening. The boy opened the door at the passerby's request and was given water before the paramedics arrived. They found the boy had a high body temperature and signs of dehydration. He was then taken to the hospital. At the time of the incident, the outside temperature was 26 degrees Celsius according to the German Weather Service.

The boy's mother, informed at the hospital, expressed her disbelief at her husband's actions, stating she wouldn't have expected this from him. The father returned to the car over an hour later, claiming he had briefly visited a friend to borrow money and had lost track of time.

Investigations revealed the visit to a prostitute. Police have filed a complaint against the father for neglecting his parental duties and reckless endangerment. They have also informed the youth welfare office.

The police were instrumental in rescuing the boy left in a hot car, as they were alerted by a passerby and subsequently found the distressed child. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the father had visited a prostitute during that time.
