Locals allege mass slaughter committed by paramilitary organization in Sudan
It's reported that the paramilitary group RSF is accused of carrying out a horrific slaughter of local villagers during the Sudanese civil war. As per the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Galgani residents in Sennar's central provincial region, at least 85 individuals lost their lives. Throughout the 18-month conflict between the RSF militia and the Sudanese Armed Forces, the United Nations has suggested that numerous violent acts, classified as war crimes, have taken place repeatedly.
The conflict started with RSF militants targeting Galgani as early as July's end, and last week they opened fire without discrimination on unarmed villagers who tried to protect girls and women from being kidnapped and sexually assaulted. Additionally, more than 150 people were injured.
Over the weekend, three villagers spoke to AP, claiming that RSF fighters raided the village on a Thursday, spreading havoc by looting and burning homes. Earlier, the villagers had stood up against a smaller RSF militant group. In return, the RSF militants returned with substantial reinforcements.
By Friday, 80 corpses had accumulated at the clinic, including 24 women and children, as per the clinic employee, who preferred to remain anonymous. Villager Mohammed Tajal-Amin stated that several bodies lay on the street and couldn't be moved due to the RSF militants' ongoing presence. The RSF spokesman declared no comment when approached by AP on Saturday.
In June, RSF fighters also attacked Singa's capital, Sinnar, looted the market, occupied the hospital, and forced thousands to flee their homes.
Human beings in Galgani were targeted by RSF militants, with at least 85 losing their lives during the conflict. Additionally, the violence against human beings included unarmed villagers being attacked and over 150 individuals being injured.
