In recent Israeli assaults in Lebanon, various casualties have been reported as per official figures. A tragic incident in Aita al-Chabab, a location in southern Lebanon, claimed the lives of a seven-year-old kid and another individual, as announced by the health department in Beirut.

Another unfortunate incident occurred in the village of Tayr Harfa close to the Israeli border in southern Lebanon, resulting in the demise of three individuals. These were reportedly associated with the Hezbollah. The Hezbollah Shia militia acknowledged the loss of three of its members. Generally, Hezbollah does not disclose detailed information regarding the circumstances under which its members are killed.

The Israeli military declared that it had targeted and eliminated a "terrorist cell" in Tayr Harfa, alleging that they had launched projectiles into Israeli territory. Moreover, the army bombarded the Shebaa region nearby Lebanon with artillery. Hezbollah claimed responsibility for attacking military installations of the Israeli army in the border area.

Ever since the commencement of the conflict in Gaza, there have been recurrent clashes between the Israeli army and the Hezbollah militia in Lebanon, along with other groups in the border zone between the two countries. Regrettably, both parties have sustained fatalities, with the majority of casualties being Hezbollah members.

The European Union expressed its concern over the escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon, urging for a de-escalation of hostilities. The European Union strongly condemns the loss of civilian lives in these ongoing conflicts and calls for respect for international law.
