- Lebanon: Two killed in Israeli attack

In a suspected Israeli strike in Lebanon, the Lebanese Health Ministry reported that two people were killed. According to Lebanese security sources, they were members of the Hezbollah militia. The incident reportedly occurred in the border town of Taibe. Israel's army stated that it had targeted Hezbollah members in the area.

Israeli forces also reportedly targeted other sites of the pro-Iranian organization in the neighboring country. Simultaneously, numerous projectiles were fired from Lebanon into Israeli territory. There were no initial reports of injuries.

A major attack by the Iran-backed Hezbollah on Israel has been anticipated for days. Hezbollah's Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah, has vowed revenge after the targeted killing of military commander Fuad Shukr in an Israeli strike.

Hezbollah in Lebanon has been launching attacks on Israel from "solidarity with Hamas" in the Gaza Strip since the terror attack on October 7.

The tensions in the Middle East continued to escalate as Israeli forces reportedly targeted more sites of Hezbollah in neighboring countries. The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, primarily based in the Middle East, has been a source of concern for regional stability.
