In the Moers area of Lower Rhine, a 26-year-old dude met his end due to police gunfire, allegedly after attacking and putting fear into several onlookers. The Duisburg Criminal Police have established a homicide squad, as per the instructions of the Kleve Public Prosecutor's Office, as per a shared announcement.
On a Tuesday afternoon, a squad car rolled out after an anonymous tip-off about a person attacking and threatening multiple pedestrians. The cops eventually tracked down the suspect. "As per present info, the man is reported to have attacked the cops with two knives in his grasp," the police and prosecutors declared.
"During the following operation, the police officers discharged their firearms." This led to the tragic demise of the 26-year-old. No other individuals reportedly suffered any harm. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation. The Duisburg Police Headquarters initially kept the additional details under wraps.
The suspect, who was causing distress in Moers, is originally from Germany. Despite the police's attempts to apprehend him peacefully, the incident in Germany resulted in the man's death due to police gunfire.
