The perpetrator, a 34-year-old man, was apprehended more than 24 hours after the incident. He was reportedly detained by witnesses in the southern part of Hagen at approximately 2:40 p.m., as per a representative from the Dubrinton police authorities. Since the incident on Saturday morning, a large-scale police search had been underway. Police believe this man to be responsible for seriously injuring four people at two distinct locations, one being a residential building and the other, a hair salon, both of which are located within close proximity.

The shootings are said to have taken place at around 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The suspect initially targeted his wife in their shared home within a multi-family dwelling on Hochstraße. Following this, he proceeded to fire multiple rounds at a door above their apartment, with no reported casualties.

This suspect then proceeded to the hair salon where he attacked three additional individuals. One of the victims remained in critical condition on Saturday night, as per official police reports. Following the crime, the perpetrator parked his car in a nearby lot and made his escape on foot.

One potential crime scene that captured significant attention was a supermarket, with authorities claiming it could be the third site where the culprit had engaged in violence. Another area of focus was a woodland area.
