Authorities are currently engaged in an extensive manhunt, as the perpetrator remains at large and unidentified. In the wake of the knife attack, three innocent lives were lost, and eight additional individuals were left injured. Unfortunately, during Solingen's city festival, an unidentified attacker randomly assaulted several individuals with a knife around 9:40 PM on Friday night. The victims were stabbed in the neck, according to the police reports. "The horrific attack at Solingen's city festival leaves us deeply shocked and distraught," expressed Faeser. "Our hearts go out to the families of the deceased and the gravely injured during this difficult time."
Solinger and others, including the federal government, are providing support to the North Rhine-Westphalia police in their manhunt for the attacker responsible for the city center knife attack.
