On a chilly Friday evening in Solingen's city center, tragedy struck as an attacker wielding a knife took the lives of three individuals. Authorities are currently engaged in an extensive manhunt, as the perpetrator remains at large and unidentified. As a precaution, citizens are advised to exercise heightened vigilance, particularly in the city center. Should you come across any suspect individuals, promptly contact the emergency number 110 and maintain a safe distance.

In the wake of the knife attack, three innocent lives were lost, and eight additional individuals were left injured. Law enforcement in North Rhine-Westphalia has categorized this incident as an attack, given the targeted nature of the assailant's actions. The perpetrator is yet to be identified, and a substantial number of police officers are working tirelessly to locate them. Both witnesses and victims are currently being questioned to gather more information.

A sizable force of officers is actively searching for the suspected assailant, with reinforcements arriving from various regions across North Rhine-Westphalia and even the federal level. "Our security agencies are doing everything in their power to apprehend the attacker and unravel the attack's underlying motives," stated Federal Minister of the Interior Nancy Faeser. "The police in North Rhine-Westphalia have the full support of the federal government in their pursuit."

Unfortunately, during Solingen's city festival, an unidentified attacker randomly assaulted several individuals with a knife around 9:40 PM on Friday night. The victims were stabbed in the neck, according to the police reports. "The horrific attack at Solingen's city festival leaves us deeply shocked and distraught," expressed Faeser. "Our hearts go out to the families of the deceased and the gravely injured during this difficult time."

Solinger and others, including the federal government, are providing support to the North Rhine-Westphalia police in their manhunt for the attacker responsible for the city center knife attack. The extensive search for the perpetrator involves officers from various regions in North Rhine-Westphalia and even at the federal level, led by Faeser, the Federal Minister of the Interior.
