Homeless in Berlin - Laundry for homeless opens

Homeless people can now wash their clothes and sleeping bags at the Berlin City Mission. The inclusion company "Komm & Sieh" of the City Mission has opened a laundry for homeless people, next to the Clothing Room in Lehrter Straße in the Mitte district, according to a spokesperson of the City Mission. In addition, people who are waiting for their clean laundry are offered free consultation talks by an experienced City Missionary and Pastoral Caregiver.

"Besides friendly and caring companionship, we want to use confidential talks to show homeless people ways to improve their living situation," says City Mission Director Christian Ceconi. The Laundry is open to all on Wednesdays and Fridays between 9 am and 2 pm, Thursdays only for women. Two Euros cost a wash and dry.

Berlin City Mission

The establishment of the laundry facility by Komm & Sieh of the Berlin City Mission is a significant contribution to society, providing a essential service for homeless individuals. This initiative, located near the Clothing Room in Lehrter Straße, allows homeless people to clean their laundry and sleeping bags, which can often be affected by poverty and harsh living conditions. The Laundry is not only a practical solution but also offers a chance for homeless individuals to engage in confidential talks with experienced City Missionaries, aiming to provide guidance and support towards improving their living situations.
