At a large-scale operation in Albstadt on the Swabian Alb, police found three dead and two injured. It was not about a rampage, a police spokeswoman said. The investigators therefore seem to rather assume an intra-family crime.

The operation in Albstadt was led by authorities from Baden-Württemberg. The incident has triggered a significant deployment of police resources in Germany. The crime scene is located in a rural area of the Swabian Alb.
