Kate Gosselin publishes uncommon snapshot of her kids to mark Mother's Day.

Last Sunday, the mom of twins and sextuplets shared her initial Instagram post of this year. She uploaded a photo of four of her sextuplets indulging in a chocolate-frosted cake with candles forming the number 20. Their mother's heartfelt caption read, "No more teenagers in this house! Happy 20th birthday, my everlasting angels! I adore you! Who feels old? I certainly do! #20yearsold #ItsaPICKLE." The sextuplets were born in May 2004.

Only four of the sextuplets, namely Alexis, Aaden, Leah, and Joel, made their way into the birthday celebration picture. The others, Collin and Hannah, were not present. Collin lives with Hannah at their father's residence. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in 2022, Collin affirmed, "I've had no connection with my mother." He has essentially been estranged from his siblings (Alexis, Aaden, Joel, Leah, and older twins Cara and Mady) for five or six years now.

After Kate Gosselin's high-profile divorce from her ex-husband Jon in 2009, she retained primary custody of all eight children. Nonetheless, her custody clash against Jon persisted for a good decade. The custodianship of Collin ultimately transferred to Jon.

During the interview held last year, Collin attributed their family's fragmentation to "TV and being in the limelight."

Notably, the Gosselins became well-known in the late 2000s through the highly successful TLC documentary-style reality TV show "Jon & Kate Plus 8" (2007 to 2009).

Post their divorce in 2010, the series shook its foundations, morphing into "Kate Plus 8," a darling of many, as it chronicled single mom Kate and her children. This documentary concluded in 2017.

In 2019, Kate shone at a new TLC show, "Kate Plus Date"; here, she ventured on the path toward her ideal mate, having been single for ten consecutive years.

Mady, one of the twins, emphasized in a TikTok video the prior year that everyone should recognize they are not entitled to peek into her family's private life since they were once TV sensations. She emphatically stated, "Whatever story you've contrived about us based on your observations? My siblings are remarkable. They are all brilliant, kind, diligent students, hilarious, and chic."

Lisa Respers France of CNN also contributed to this story.

Kate Gosselin featured in several TLC reality series along with her family between 2007 and 2019.

Following the success of "Jon & Kate Plus 8," Kate Gosselin continued to share her family life on TLC with the show "Kate Plus 8". Despite this, her relationship with her estranged son Collin remains strained, as he noted in an Entertainment Tonight interview that their family's fragmentation was largely due to TV and being in the limelight.

After her divorce, Kate sought a new partner on TLC's "Kate Plus Date," but her personal life has often intertwined with her entertainment career, making it challenging to separate the two parts of her life.
