15-year-old found dead in Worms - parents in custody

In Rhineland-Palatinate, a woman calls the police and reports that her daughter may have been murdered. Shortly thereafter, the body of the teenager is discovered at the Rhine bank in Worms. An investigation is now being conducted against the parents of the victim.

According to the police, a suspect in the case of the discovery of a female corpse at the Rhine bank in Worms, Rhineland-Palatinate, points to the parents of the 15-year-old victim. The 39-year-old father and the 34-year-old mother are in custody, according to the Mainz Police Headquarters. An autopsy is to clarify the circumstances of death.

The securing of traces at the scene of the crime and investigations in the apartments of the involved parties and the father's vehicle are ongoing. The vehicle, according to reports, was secured in Pirmasens and transported to Mainz. Parents and daughter are reportedly Afghan citizens.

The teenager was found dead on Monday around 6 pm, after her mother had reported to the Pirmasens Police Inspection in the morning and reported the suspicion of her daughter's murder. The crime is said to have taken place on Saturday evening at the Rhine bank. The Criminal Police Mainz found the body during a search.
