Judge reaffirms physician's guilt in sexual assault case

Recently, a heart specialist in Bavaria was found guilty in a local court for previous convictions of sexual assault on patients. Following a fresh investigation, additional victims have surfaced, leading to a more prolonged prison sentence for the offender.

The Aschaffenburg Regional Court handed down a sentence of four years and four months in jail on Monday, according to a court representative.

The trial was concluded sooner than anticipated due to the doctor's full confession, sparing the victims from having to testify as witnesses.

The individual had previously been sentenced to two years and ten months in prison for committing rape and sexual abuse within the context of consultations, treatments, or care. This judgment is now final.

During the initial investigation, two women publicly disclosed their experiences. These cases have now been ruled upon, similar to the two prior instances. In one of the new cases, the doctor inserted a finger into the patient's vagina during treatment, repeating his previous transgressions.

The four-year extended prison sentence serves as a testament to the importance of justice being served, ensuring that the heart specialist is held accountable for his repeated offenses. The pursuit of justice continues, as more victims come forward, hoping that their experiences will contribute to preventing such incidents in the future.
