Justice - Job swap: judges solve cases with students

From the winter semester, experienced judges from the District of the Oberlandesgericht (OLG) Stuttgart offer a teaching event at the juristic faculty and solve current cases from civil law with students. According to OLG-President Andreas Singer, this project will later be extended to criminal law and family law. The OLG, with its first-instance jurisdiction for the largest state protection proceedings, is particularly suitable for providing insights into criminal proceedings in criminal law, Singer added.

For young judges, it is of central importance to apply the knowledge they have learned, Singer continued. Already during their studies, practical application and application oriented towards procedural law plays an increasingly important role. The OLG will actively support students of the juristic faculty in their search for attractive internship places at the courts.

  1. This collaboration between the OLG Stuttgart and the University of Tübingen's juristic faculty is a significant opportunity for students to gain insights into the workings of Society's Justice system.
  2. The Higher Regional Court in Stuttgart, being located in the state of Baden-Württemberg, will provide a unique perspective for students studying at the University of Tübingen.
  3. The President of OLG Stuttgart, Andreas Singer, is proud of the program's potential to extend to criminal and family law, aiming to offer a holistic understanding of legal knowledge.
  4. During their studies at the University of Tübingen, students will have the chance to benefit from the OLG's support in securing internship opportunities, further strengthening their practical application in jurisprudence.
