Host - Israeli Army: Hamas member killed in Lebanon

Israel's Army reportedly killed a member of Hamas in Lebanon during an attack. Hamas confirmed the death of their "Martyr." According to the Israeli Military, Mohammed Djabara was responsible for attacks and rocket attacks on Israel. "His elimination weakens Hamas' ability to plan and carry out attacks against the State of Israel in the northern border area."

The man reportedly died, according to Lebanese sources, when his vehicle was struck in the east of the country. His car reportedly caught fire during the incident in the Bekaa Valley.

Initially, it was reported from Lebanese security sources and the Libanese State Agency NNA that the man killed in the Israeli drone attack was a member of the militant Lebanese group Al-Jamaa Al-Islamia. Hamas then identified him as a member to emphasize the close cooperation between the two Sunni organizations, according to Lebanese security sources. This has happened several times in the past.

According to Israel's Army, Djabara carried out some attacks in collaboration with the extremist group Al-Jamaa Al-Islamia. The militant organization is reportedly allied with the Shia militia Hisbollah in Lebanon and with Hamas in the Gaza Strip, and allegedly supports their fight against Israel.

In June, the Israeli Army reportedly killed a member of the group during an attack in the Bekaa Valley. The Military then stated that the man was responsible for weapons deliveries for Hamas and Al-Jamaa Al-Islamia.

Israel and the Lebanese Hisbollah Militia have been engaged in near-daily battles since the start of the Gaza War. There have been casualties on both sides. The Iran-backed Hisbollah reportedly acts out of solidarity with Hamas, which is also active in Lebanon. It has long been feared that the conflict could spread.

  1. Hamas, the Islamic Resistance Movement, strongly condemned Israel's drone attack in Beirut that resulted in the death of their member, Mohammed Djabara.
  2. Despite initial reports suggesting Djabara was a member of Al-Jamaa Al-Islamia, Hamas acknowledged his role within their organization, highlighting their close ties.
  3. Djabara was reportedly associated with both Hamas and Al-Jamaa Al-Islamia, two Sunni organizations with alleged ties to Hezbollah in Lebanon and Israel's border region.
  4. The vehicle Djabara was traveling in was struck during an Israeli military operation, causing a fire that led to his unfortunate demise.
  5. Israel accused Djabara of participating in attacks against Israel, justifying his elimination as a means to weaken Hamas' capabilities in the northern border area.
  6. Several conflicts between Israel and various militant groups, including Hamas and Hezbollah, have resulted in casualties in Tel Aviv and Beirut, raising concerns about the potential for a full-scale war.
  7. The ongoing conflicts between Israel and its adversaries have been a source of concern for international communities, with many fearing a potential escalation leading to further hostilities and drone attacks.
