Initiative to Inoculate against Polio Commences in Gaza
In the Gaza Strip, an initiative to inoculate numerous children against polio commenced. The first batch of children have already been immunized, as the Health Ministry in the Hamas-controlled coastal region declared at a press meeting.
Reporters from the AP news agency observed approximately ten infants being vaccinated at the Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis.
Israel and the World Health Organization announced that the vaccinations would start on Sunday morning, following a truce. The objective is to inoculate approximately 640,000 children in the Gaza Strip against polio.
The campaign to inoculate children against polio, led by Israel and the World Health Organization, gained momentum after the truce was declared. The Health Ministry further announced plans to expand 'The campaign' to vaccinate over half a million more children in the Gaza Strip.
