A car burst into flames, and nearby, a seriously injured man was discovered. Upon further investigation, a deceased woman was found inside the vehicle. Last night, around 1:40 AM, the flames from a burning car caught the attention of the fire department. The fiery vehicle was dangerously close to the fuel pumps. As the firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze, they discovered the lifeless woman in the passenger seat. The man, believed to be her husband, was found in a nearby location with severe burns. He was subsequently transferred to a specialized hospital in Bochum.
The police and public prosecutor's office in Bielefeld are now collaborating to determine if this tragedy was an accident or a deliberate act of harm. Bild newspaper reports that footage from a surveillance camera shows the man, hailing from Ukraine like his wife, acting oddly around the vehicle shortly before it caught fire. He is seen running around the car after parking and leaning into the passenger door before the incident. According to the newspaper's sources, the quick thinking of the gas station employee prevented further disaster by switching the station to 'No-Fuel'.
The autopsy of the 28-year-old woman's body is scheduled for Friday. Hopefully, this will provide more information about the cause of her demise.
