During a bus journey en route to Siegen's city festival, an unexpected incident transpired. As per reports from the Siegen-Wittgenstein police department, a woman turned violent, attacking fellow passengers with a knife. The authorities have confirmed that three individuals are presently in a serious condition, another is severely injured, and a fourth escaped unscathed with minor injuries.

The incident took place at 19:40, in a bus traversing Siegen-Eiserfeld, as per the Dortmund police. The bus, full of approximately 40 passengers, was apparently headed to the city festival in Siegen when the woman began attacking her fellow passengers with a knife. Rapid response from the authorities led to the apprehension of the 32-year-old suspect at the location.

At present, there seems to be no indication of a terrorist motive behind the attack. The situation is deemed safe for the public. The "Siegener Zeitung" has reportedly uncovered evidence suggesting that the attacker may have been under the influence of alcohol and/or narcotics.

The investigation is ongoing. The crime scene is presently cordoned off, and the police are meticulously gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses. The authorities also emphasize that citizens should refrain from peddling false information over digital and conventional platforms, especially avoiding any speculation that links the incident to a potential terrorist attack.
