As per reports, the explosion in the apartment of a Frankfurt resident resulted in severe injuries. This information was shared by a fire department spokesperson. Another individual is also presumed to have been hurt.

According to the "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" (FAZ), the 28-year-old gentleman emerged from the house in flames following the explosion. An eyewitness from "Bild" narrated that the man was shouting and attempted to remove his scorching garments. Onlookers allegedly aided in putting out the fire on his body by tossing clothes and a rug on him. The patient showed signs of consciousness and was airlifted to a specialty hospital by a helicopter. The police spokesman, Thomas Hollerbach, later confirmed this to the newspaper that a man had exited the house engulfed in flames and was extinguished by the emergency services.

A 31-year-old is also reported to have been injured during the fire incident, as per the FAZ. Another woman suffered from smoke inhalation. The other residents of the three-story building managed to leave or were evacuated safely. The blast from the explosion apparently flung debris from the building's rooftop. Fire was discovered in the attic of the building, the emergency services reported.

The police spokesman told the newspaper that the cause of the explosion remains unclear. Preliminary speculations point towards a possible gas line leak. However, further details will only be available upon arrival of the fire investigators. The authorities are currently seeking any witnesses to the incident.

The emergency services successfully extinguished the fire in the residential building by evening. Over 30 emergency vehicles, including those from the fire department, rescue services, police, and disaster protection, were present at the site.

The fire in the attic spread fiercely, threatening to engulf the entire building. Firefighters worked tirelessly to contain the blaze, fearing a larger catastrophe.

Upon exiting the building, the man's clothes continued to burn, highlighting the intense heat of the fire.
