European Championship's surge in tourism also fuels an uptick in prostitution, according to city officials. "The rise will have a substantial impact on brothels, especially hotel prostitution," stated a representative from Frankfurt. Cities are readying their aid services for this influx.

Law enforcement, city administrations, and sex workers are gearing up for a higher demand in prostitution during the Football-European Championship. Frankfurt Police foresee a significant rise in the number of prostitutes within their city. "The surge will greatly impact brothels and particularly hotel prostitution," the rep said. The city's police force overseeing prostitution, a separate unit stationed at the Ordinances Office alongside the Frankfurt Police, has no evidence that numerous prostitutes have registered. "It's only logical that we prepare for this," said Matthias Heinrich, unit leader. It's common knowledge that such occurrences follow other big events or major fairs. "It's no surprise that this will cause such situations."

Dortmund anticipates a "heavy burden" for local brothels. Christian Stein, their press spokesman, made this claim. Stuttgart also believes more prostitutes will provide their services—to fulfill the increased demand.

Kolja-André Nolte from the professional association for erotic and sexual services in Cologne, a Europe-leading group with nearly 1000 members, doesn't expect a massive influx of clients but a slight increase in demand. "Our members don't express fear of being overwhelmed but rather excitement for a few more customers during the EM."

Cities are readying their preparations and support services: Cologne will deploy more Streetworkers, and the health office in Düsseldorf will expand its testing options for sexually transmissible infections on match days. Frankfurt Police plan to crack down on street prostitution outside the designated tolerance zones. And from Dortmund, it's reported: "To protect the women, events and awareness campaigns from local organizations and the health department are being planned."
