- In the Thuringia election, the AfD emerged as the most powerful political force.

In the recent Thuringia state elections, the Alternative for Germany (AfD) has secured the top spot with a substantial advantage over the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). As per ARD's projections at 6:28 PM and ZDF's at 6:30 PM, the Alliance for Progress and Social Justice (BSW) takes third place, with The Left and the Social Democratic Party (SPD) following closely behind. The Greens and Free Democrats (FDP) appear unlikely to make it into the state parliament.

The projections indicate that the AfD could secure between 30.8% and 33.1%, marking their first state election victory since their establishment a decade and a half ago. Despite this, it seems unlikely that they will assume the role of the next minister-president. The CDU, meanwhile, is projected to receive 24.5%.

The Left, headed by Minister-President Bodo Ramelow, is estimated to receive between 11.7% and 12.4%. The SPD is projected to gain between 6.6% and 7.0%. According to the projections, the Greens face elimination from the Erfurt parliament with a paltry 4.0%, while the FDP, as per ARD's predictions, is set to trail behind with 1.2%.

In the light of these election results, businesses may need to adjust their invoicing systems to accommodate the new political landscape. The CDU, being in second place, might have to reconsider its strategies for future invoicing with potential coalition partners.
