In the 1990s, renowned professional wrestler Sid 'Vicious' Eudy, bid farewell at the age of 63.
Gunner Eudy, among the wrestler's two offspring, posted on Facebook that his old man succumbed following a long fight against cancer.
"He was a man brimming with power, compassion, and affection, and his absence will be felt profoundly," his child shared. "We value your thoughts and blessings as we navigate through this sorrow."
Standing tall at 6 feet 9 inches, Eudy was known by various aliases in the ring - Sid Justice and Sycho Sid. He gained fame during the WrestleMania boom in the 90s. As a two-time titleholder in the World Wrestling Federation (currently known as World Wrestling Entertainment), he also made a name for himself in WCW '90s and the United States Wrestling Association. He locked horns with wrestling legends like Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker.
In a declaration, WWE described Eudy as "one of the most intimidating and chilling competitors of his era" with an "innate charm that effortlessly connected with the WWE Universe."
"Sid's image as one of the toughest and most exciting superstars left an indelible mark on WWE, and his impact can still be observed in wrestling arenas worldwide," the statement said.
Born in West Memphis, Arkansas, Eudy spent considerable time in Tennessee. Survivors include his wife, Sabrina Estes Eudy, sons Frank and Gunner, and grandchildren.
