In France, the mastermind behind Telegram has been granted temporary freedom pending further legal proceedings.

The entrepreneur behind Telegram, Pavel Durov, has been granted bail in France after being apprehended and grilled by a investigating judge. An investigation has commenced against Durov, alleging various transgressions, including insufficient cooperation with law enforcement during criminal investigations and potential involvement in criminal activities. The Paris prosecutor's office made this announcement in the evening.
