In Bryansk, Russia, sabotage attempts were foiled

Ukraine has taken control of numerous settlements in Kursk, as per their own accounts. Russia asserts that they've halted an additional push into Bryansk's bordering region. The night saw air raids being fended off, as per authorities' updates.

Russia alleges to have halted Ukrainian "infiltrators" from entering their Bryansk border region, neighboring Kursk. This was reportedly accomplished by the Russian FSB intelligence agency and military forces, according to Bryansk's governor, Alexander Bogomaz, in a Telegram post on Wednesday.

The intrusion of the alleged "Ukrainian reconnaissance-sabotage group" was successfully thwarted. The "enemy" sustained damage, and the situation is now reportedly under control. Two weeks prior, the Ukrainian army had entered Kursk and made advancements, with reports suggesting they now control over 1000 square kilometers and numerous settlements.

A blaze originated from a Ukrainian drone attack on a military airfield in the Volgograd region, according to Russian sources. Russian regional governor Andrei Bocharov reported that most of the aerial threats during the night were repelled by Russian air defense. However, a single drone crash ignited a fire at a Defense Ministry facility.

Unofficial Russian Telegram channels identified the airbase as Marinovka, approximately 45 kilometers west of Volgograd's regional capital. Air operations at Volgograd's civil airport were momentarily restricted due to drone threats, as reported by the Russian state news agency TASS.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed to have intercepted 28 Ukrainian drones during the night, with 13 over the Volgograd region. These figures remain unverified independently.
