In an aerial attack on Russian Voronezh, reports suggest that Ukraine may have struck a military objective: A munitions storage facility is reportedly on fire, resulting in additional explosions. A state of emergency has been declared in three settlements.
As per media reports, Ukraine allegedly struck a storage facility with drone attacks, located near Ostrogozhsk, around 100 kilometers south of Voronezh, as stated by the independent internet portal Astra. Although authorities have not confirmed it as a munitions storage facility, Governor Alexander Gusev enforced an emergency order in three settlements due to managing the aftermath of a fire and the detonation of explosive materials.
Two women sustaining injuries were reported, with one admitted to the hospital. Nearly 200 people were forced to evacuate the area. According to official sources, two individuals were also harmed in the neighboring Belgorod region as a result of drone strikes. The Russian Defense Ministry, however, reported the interception of only seven drones, five in the Voronezh region, and one each in Belgorod and Bryansk. No further information about potential damages was provided.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military reported a significant Russian missile attack on Snake Island in the Black Sea. Four X-22 type cruise missiles struck the island, along with guided bombs dropped over the Kherson region. Further information regarding damages was not provided. Strategically vital for supervising the western Black Sea area, Snake Island was seized by Russia during the initial stages of the war but was later withdrawn.
